The Avignon is an early 1900s diamond engagement ring, still in fantastic condition. It features an antique cut Old Mine Cut Diamond weighing 1.45ct. We sent the diamond to GIA for a grading report, and it is J color and SI1 clarity.

A "J" color on a diamond over 1ct, cut around 1900 is a high color grade. Where diamonds were mined during this time, seldom yielded high white/colorless diamonds in larger diamond sizes. Most were warmer in color, like M-N and lower on the larger diamonds. Also, the way diamonds were faceted back then, the color isn't as visible through the top of the diamond. So they have the appearance of being less color.

The mounting is also vintage, crafted in 18K white gold. There is a little filigree detail and beautiful flower motifs on the ring.

The ring size is 6.75, but can easily be resized.
