What a wonderfully unique design, with several elements that make this ring so striking.  First, you notice the fascinating bypass design.  This bypass design, with the negative space, gives you a big WOW look, without having to pay for larger gemstones to get a similar effect.

Next, check out the fascinating hexagon shape of the two halos.  We love geometric shapes!

Now for the true stars .... the natural colored Montana sapphires.  First of all they are also hexagon shape - which is really cool!  One of them is a pastel blue-teal, and the other one is a minty green color.  Oh my, just yummy.  Each sapphire is about 5.3mm x 5.3mm diameter and is bezel set.  The total weight of the sapphire gems is .76ctw.

Surrounding each sapphire is a hexagon shaped diamond halo.  The sparklers add a bright frame around the colored sapphires.

You (or your sweetheart) will absolutely love this ring.  It is a piece that you just can't look away from.  You should add it to your collection.

Interesting facts about Montana sapphires: These come from the El Dorado Bar area in Montana.  This area used to have gold mining activity, and these sapphires actually come from the old tailings that were discarded during the mining process, about 100 years ago.  At that time, the rough sapphires were considered a nuisance because they clogged up the mining equipment. Because they have a high specific gravity like gold - they would clog the 'riffles' in the sluice boxes - taking up space that the miners thought should be filled with gold.

Because the sapphires weren't a deep blue color, there was not much jewelry demand for them.  So they were just cast aside with the other rocks and whatnot that was in the aggregate.

Today, gold miners are reworking those old tailings left behind, with new more efficient mining equipment and processes.  They are recovering tiny pieces of gold that couldn't be recovered previously.  In the process, they are getting those sapphires that were causing problems 100 years earlier.  But now, they are being cut and polished into the beautiful gems you see today!
