Why Talking Is a Good Idea
Buying jewelry online is intimidating. We should know. We've been selling online for 17 years.
We've taken a totally different approach. A personal one.
Remember how experiences used to be intimate? Jewelry buying should be an intimate experience.
It isn't about having the largest selection, or selling the cheapest (i.e. low quality) jewelry. We’re not aiming to be the Amazon of jewelry. We are a family-owned jewelry store in Modesto (California) that is very picky about quality and design. That's been our calling card since 1989.
Beautiful jewelry should stir the soul. Before selecting a piece for display we ask, “How does this design make me feel?”
In a world of infinite choice, it’s nice to slow down and appreciate the work of master craftsmen.
Don’t use your credit card to buy this. Not yet.
It’s 5:40 AM in Modesto right now. Call us and see why we fell in love with this piece. One shouldn’t ever have to buy jewelry online without asking all your questions first. Oh, that’s right, that’s what makes us different from the thousands of online jewelry sites out there.
When you call you aren’t talking to an agent in a call center. Your talking to either Ron Yates, Ashton Yates-Woolley, Marissa Stewart, Mechelle Yates, or Justice Carillo at our Modesto store location.
Product Details
Such a fun dinner party ring! A high end classic design from the 1980s. Featuring a gemmy natural Columbian emerald in the center. You know what really pairs well with a green emerald? Diamonds and rich yellow gold!
The emerald measures 6.7 x 5.8mm, is emerald cut in shape, and estimated weight is 1.05ct. It is a natural mined gemstone - not lab grown, or created. The color matches up with Columbian origin, not African type mined in Zambia. The Zambian emeralds have a blueish tint to the green. It has medium color and good vibrance and lightly included. It looks much better in person that it does under the harsh lights of a photography studio! It would be classified as an "A" grade by most gemstone dealers. (The grades are usually AA, A, B, C.)
All natural emeralds have inclusions (commonly referred to as "flaws" - but we hate that term!) inside the gemstone. This is because the mineral (beryl) crystals were formed with tiny bubbles of trapped gas and other components trapped inside them. And these are visible to the naked eye. If you see a perfectly clear emerald - its manmade.
There are 12 baguette cut natural diamonds that vary in size - 6 on each side of the emerald. The total weight is estimated at .60ctw, or more. There are 18 round brilliant natural diamonds set in the ring also. The total weight of these is esimated at .60ctw, or more also. The color of the diamonds ranges from G to I (near colorless), and the clarity is SI1 - I1. The total diamond weight is 1.20ctw, or more.
A bit of advice on emerald rings: Emeralds are not as hard as diamonds, or sapphires. So care is needed. Do not garden in it, do not do house or yard work while wearing an emerald ring. Treat it like the valuable gem it is. That way you can pass it on to someone you love and they can enjoy also. With proper care, an emerald can be worn and treasured for generation after generation. But abused, they can break or chip.
A gorgeous piece to add to your collection!
