This antique bar brooch, circa 1900 - 1914, has a plethora of wonderful design details.  We love the hand engraved floral design in warm yellow gold.  The milgrain details on the metal edges.  The use of mixed metals with white gold on top of yellow gold. The negative space in the center.  Just stunning!

Crafted in 14K gold, yellow gold with white gold accents.  Notice the white gold center section.  The gracefully curved, interlocking arched motifs - reminiscent of Gothic windows or scalloped latticework. These shapes form an open, almost fan-like pattern.  A sparkling Old European cut diamond is set in the center, about .04ct.

The yellow gold portion is adorned with meticulously engraved floral panels, adding a almost quilted texture across the brooh.  The edges of the piece are bordered by a fine milgrain edge.

There are two round sapphires, about 2.5mm each, which appear to be Montana sapphires, although we cannot be certain.

This Edwardian bar brooch showcases exquisite craftsmanship and period detail.
