Don't you just love authentic vintage engagement rings from this time era? The Petunia is named for it's flower motif design. Notice underneath the diamond there are four flowers. Such a nice feminine touch!

In the center is a very nice .89ct diamond. The diamond is antique cut, called an Old European Cut. This is how diamonds were cut during this time - smaller tables, higher crowns and open culets. All adding to the unique "fire" (color dispersion) that these antique diamonds have.

The diamond has exceptional clarity of VS1 - takes a 10 power jewelers loupe and a trained eye to see any tiny inclusion in this stone! The color is very fine too - "I", which is near colorless. Kinda of rare for a larger diamond mined during the early part of 20th century. Most picked up warmer hues.

The ring is size 8.5, but can be resized easily.

Ring has some light wear on it, after all it is almost 100 years old!
A very unique piece, for the unique gal who loves vintage!

    Gorgeous Vintage Ring

Posted by Toni Charvoll on 12th Sep 2021

I was so pleasantly surprised when I received this ring. No problem ordering on-line with Yates. Size is perfect and I can wear it on different fingers. It is so much more beautiful than the photo. I feel like a princess when I wear it. I can not believe it is 100 years old. Thanks for wrapping it with loving care. Warm Regards, Toni
