Cufflinks of the Empire
Ancient Roman Silver Denarius Coins in Hand-Forged 18K Gold

History meets handcrafted luxury in these exceptional cufflinks, each showcasing an authenitc ancient silver Denarius struck in the Roman Republic over two millennia ago.

On one cufflink, the front side of a Denarius is displayed feautring Roma, the Roman goddess who was the personification of the city of Rome and the Roman state.  She is depicted as a warrior woman wearing a winged helmet.  Symbolizing the might, dignity and destiny of the Roman people.

Her winged helmet, is a symbol of speed and divine protection.  (Later in American history, this design would influence the design of the Mercury Dime.)

The other cufflink shows the reverse side of the Denarius.  A thundering quadriga — a four-horse chariot.  The chariot charges ahead, celebrating Roman military might and the unstoppable force of the Republic. Beneath it, the proud inscription ROMA grounds this piece in the heart of ancient civilization.

The ancient Roman Republic struck these coins from about 200 BC - 80 BC.  They are made of silver and were the coin of the realm.  A Denarius was a typical day's wage for laborers and Roman legionaries at this time.

The Denarius is also mentioned in the Bible, at Matthew 22:19, Matthew 18: 28 and Luke 10:35.  This coin is so full of history!

Each coin is set by hand into a hammered 18K yellow gold bezel, its texture echoing the artisan traditions of antiquity. The backs are crafted in sterling silver for strength and modern wearability.

These are not just cufflinks. They are conversation pieces, heirlooms of empire, and wearable relics of one of history’s greatest civilizations.
