A 111-year-old keepsake with a story.
This antique ladies pocket watch hangs from a gorgeous Victorian era vine and leaf brooch pin. The gold-filled watch case has a beautiful textured design and is in very good condition.
Inside the dust cover is engraved: May Tuttle 5-28-15
What a sentimental gift this must have been during the difficult, war-torn years of World War I.
The dial is stamped HUBBARD DEN CO. Salt Lake City, and the movement is also stamped THE HUBBARD-DEN CO. Salt Lake City, Adjusted, 17 Jewels.
And yes — the movement runs! Watch the video to see the tiny intricate parts working. It is really cool to see a 100+ year-old timepiece still ticking away.
The brooch pin is stamped SIMMONS, a well-known early 1900s jewelry manufacturer that made gold-filled chains, pins, and emblems during the Victorian/Edwardian era.
