A Proposal with Heart: When Students Helped Say ‘Yes’

For this couple, teaching isn’t just a job—it’s a passion that brought them closer in unexpected ways. Coming out of the pandemic, their worlds connected through video calls, as they got to know some of each other’s students. When schools fully reopened, their bond grew even stronger as they supported each other’s work—especially as he took on the role of activity director.

But when it came time to propose, he wanted to make it truly unforgettable—and include the students who had become a special part of both their lives.

A Rose for Every Moment

He carefully organized a beautiful surprise at the very restaurant where their journey began. One by one, 12 students walked in and approached his fiancée, each handing her a long-stem rose—a symbol of admiration, respect, and the shared community they had built through teaching.

When the last student reached their table and presented the final rose, he dropped to one knee and opened a box revealing the most brilliant engagement ring—an emblem of love, commitment, and a new chapter about to begin.
