We designed this gorgeous ring to hold our 2.18ct lab-grown fancy pink emerald cut diamond. After many sketches and ideas, this was the winning design. (See our digital rendering in the image thumbnails.)
We think it turned out spectacular! The first person we showed it to had to have it, and we are so happy for her!
The diamond is set east to west in a bright white platinum double claw type head. Notice the hidden diamond halo under the luscious pink diamond. The shank is crafted in rich 18k rose gold, and we used a very vibrant E-F color, VS1 diamonds French set in the shank. So you get a great contrast in both metal/diamond combinations.
Just a note about the attention to detail. Did you know most rings manufactured (probably 98% of them, or more) are cast in large lots, thrown in a tumbler to polish them, diamonds set, then a quick final polish. But the problem with this is that the recessed areas, like inside the center head, and the diamond seats do not get properly polished. When you take a close look you notice the metal is rough, and not very reflective. This affects the shine and the beauty! On our custom made rings, the entire ring - nooks, crannies, diamond seats are completely hand polished before any diamonds are set. This ensures a much better finish. And your ring deserves this.
