Handcrafted in platinum, this exquisite ring centers on a breathtaking 1.17-carat old antique cut diamond, its fire and brilliance revealing the romance of antique craftsmanship. This vintage diamond is GIA graded, with a full diamond report. It is VS1 clarity, K color.

The mounting is in excellent condition - it likely was only worn for very special occastions.
A note about the antique diamond:
GIA labed it a "Circular brilliant", which is confusing. Antique diamond dealers have been frustrated by GIA calling some antique cut diamonds 'circular brilliant' and others 'Old European Cut'. GIA has created their own very limited definition of 'Old European Cut', and if a few very technical criteria is not met, then it gets a 'Circular Brilliant' cut designation. (These are pavilion depth, culet size, lower-half lengths, symmetry factor, table size, crown height.) But diamond cutters hand cut these diamonds, and oftentimes one or more of those criteria doesn't fit in GIAs very narrow classification. Other diamond labs and almost all antique diamond dealers disagree with this. They base the cut type on visual style, not strict measurements. However, the diamond is a vintage cut gem.
