Platinum, Emeralds + Diamonds

Such a romantic design. Take a close look, do you see the vine and leaves? In the leaves there are little diamonds and emeralds set. The emeralds really add a special touch!
The center diamond is approximately .45ct (weight estimated by formula). It is a transitional cut, typically cut in the 1930s and 1940s. It is a very fine diamond quality, VS2 clarity and H-I color.
This ring is crafted in precious platinum - the preferred white metal of choice. Platinum is better than white gold for a few reasons: 1) It is a pure white metal, never needing to be rhodium plated. White gold comes from gold (which is yellow) that is bleached to an off-white color and then needs to be rhodium plated. 2) For hand engraving, platinum produces a better engraving quality as the metal is more malleable. 3) Platinum has no nickel allows in it, thus no allergic reaction.
Notice the engraved floral carving on the sides of the ring. Also, around the leaves there is hand applied milgrain detail. Beautiful design features! Sometimes its the small things like this that make a ring.
Don't let this out get away. Where are you going to see another one?
