The Roison is a very fun and bold cocktail type ring from the early 1900s. Crafted in 14K yellow gold with beautiful open filigree design on the sides. The top bezel that secures the gemstone is made in 14K white gold. Even the bezel has a beautiful design engraved on it.

The oval-shaped cabochon cut Carnelian gemstone measures 17 x 12mm. It looks gorgeous in this mounting! We love how the reddish color looks in these metals. And the way the buff top shines in the sunlight is attention grabbing!

Carnelian has a fascinating history. The Ancient Egyptian called this gem the "Sunset Stone" as it was thought that it could catch the heat from the sun and channel it into the wearer. Many modern folks believe that Carnelian has certain healing powers and benefits. It was a popular stone for jewelry for centuries!
